We are Merry May and Lorraine Fenstermacher, owners of Double Trouble Studios.  We each have our own businesses (Schoolhouse Enterprises t/a Merry Mayhem's Mystery Quilts & Lorraines' Custom Quilts), but we are also BQBs (Best Quilting Buddies). 

Our popular BBQ weekends are mainly for Quilters, but we'll take pretty much anyone who is interested in sewing, or just hanging out with people who love to sew!  Our  weekends usually include:  2 1/2 to 3 days of workshops (or bring your own projects to work on!)  so you have plenty of time to do some "Retail Therapy" on your way to and/or from the weekend, a Friday evening Wine & Cheese Reception, Door Prizes, Saturday Dinner, Saturday and Sunday Breakfasts, and all the sewing you can handle for the duration of the weekend.  We have a really good time, and the room is always full of laughter, conversations, the sounds of sewing machines running, and sometimes a little music here and there.   Hotel arrangements are on your own and are not included in our fee, although we do try to negotiate the best hotel rates for you.  

Everyone brings a snack to share, and Merry & Lorraine always provide plenty of bottled water and a FIVE-POUND BOX of Wilbur Buds!  We also bring wine, cheese and crackers, plus all the paper goods for a rockin' good time.

•  Mystery quilt was great fun to make.  Had no idea it would turn out so well.  Really nice group of ladies.

•  I thought the BBQ weekend was exceptionally well organized and wonderful door prizes.  I liked that the teachers had supplies for purchase.  Loved the restaurant.
